George’s Music Center was established in 1998 and is a full-line combo dealer serving the local community, schools and places of worship. The owner has been collecting vintage guitars and amplifiers since the mid-eighties. After college he came back to his home town to open George’s Music Center and he's been a gigging musician since age 13. George bought his first Mesa Boogie Amplifier, a Mark III combo in 1986 at the age of 16 and has been a huge fan ever since. George’s Music Center is a place to come when your looking for pro level gear with a concentration in high-end guitars, basses and amplifiers!
Shop Vibe
George’s Music Center has proudly been a MESA/Boogie dealer since 2013. Our favorite guitar amps are the TC-50 and the new Filllmore series. The TC-50 is our amp of choice when we think of the “British Sound” but with an amazing clean tone to match the killer drive tones! The Fillmore amps are the missing link, from the original California clean tones to the killer Boogie lead tones we all have grown to know and love, all in one amplifier!
Our Shop is unique because we service players of all levels, from the beginner on to the pro level musician! We have a great lesson program, and great relationships with schools and churches. We are active in our community promoting music. George’s also has one of the best repair departments in CT. If we sell it we service it!
Clientele
Our clientele is diverse so that would include all levels, from the student, weekend warrior on through celebrities that we have supplied gear to. We do not want to name drop, but we have supplied gear to 3-Doors Down, Ritchie Blackmore, Joe Bouchard from Blue Oyster Cult, Vinnie Moore, Ace Frehley and many more! Its not a focus, but we are always humbled when celebrities choose to do business with our store.
