The Arts Music Store has been serving the GTA for the last 35 years. We specialize in acoustic and electric guitars, entry level as well as high end. Our guitar inventory is extensive (1000 guitars extensive) and our shop is a must visit location for music store enthusiasts worldwide. We’ve hosted clinics with highly revered players from Albert Lee and Jennifer Batten to Todd Sucherman and Tosin Abasi. Our staff consists of some of the most qualified and fun personalities this industry has to offer.
The Arts Music Store has been a MESA dealer since 2010 making that 8 proud years! Currently we carry the MESA standards like the Mark V and Dual Recto as well as some of the great new Subway bass series heads and cabinets. We also have the brand new Rosette acoustic amplifier which we featured in our YouTube show “The Arts Music Show”:
Shop Vibe
This crazy group of gear heads have stood the test of time by leaning heavily in their service. We pride ourselves on our atmosphere both in our retail location and in our online aesthetic. Being personable and different is our biggest priority as it is the face of the music industry client base as a whole. We are diverse and eccentric just like our huge customer base.
Clientele
The Arts Music Store has been serving a large array of customers for a long time. Local heroes such as Glenn Marais, Dani Strong and Chris Hou (to name a few), frequent our store and enjoy our many services. We also service many artists who have surpassed local success such as David Monks and Josh Hook from Tokyo Police Club, Al Connelly of Glass Tiger, The Elwins and Gordon Lightfoot. Not only do we serve some of our heros, we also employ them in our lessons department. Mike Thorn of Saga is one of our current drum instructors; Tim Oxford of the Arkells is also one of our drum instructors. Roy Ziv, an Instagram sensation, is also one of our guitar instructors. We even have Julian Delgrosso, a well established guitar player and the youger brother of Christian Delgrosso, who is a mega famous social media influencer currently working on our sales floor. We’re super lucky to be surrounded by so much talent – it’s astounding.
Industry Trends
Online seems to be the way everyone is aiming. Whether it is a trend that will catch on for this industry is hard to know. it's such a tactile and subjective array of items we sell and it's getting harder and harder to compete with the incredible shipping options and rates of the Amazons and Ebays of the world as time goes on. These massive companies don’t require a store front, just a big open room with shelving and forklifts. I think once we see shipping companies reduce some of their prices here in Canada (as they have in the US), we might actually see an influx of online sales.
