1x12 Royal Atlantic™ 27 Cabinet
The 1x12 Royal Atlantic™ 27 Cabinet looks like a 2x12 at first glance, but the similarly sized cabinet loaded with only one of MESA’s® custom Celestion C90 speakers provides some unique advantages, tonally and transport-wise. The Royal Atlantic 27’s rear panel was specially designed to maximize full, wide bass projection while also accenting clear midrange detail and open-back, high-end sparkle via the semi-open design. Guitar cabinets with a single 12” speaker offer the amazing and sometimes elusive ‘openness’ and transparency – a singing responsiveness from the cone of the speaker – that 2x12 cabinets sometimes lack due to increased punch. The physical width of the Royal Atlantic 27 combined with the 1x12 voice and perfectly tuned back panel generates a huge sonic footprint and tonal magic with any amplifier driving it.
You simply won’t find a better cabinet. ALL MESA® ENCLOSURES are made using the finest Void-free, Marine Grade Baltic Birch. Super strong rabbet corners are glued and nailed and speaker baffles are fitted with superior dado joint construction and braced. Grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board, not the baffle board. Grille material is made of strong twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters top end for a sweeter response.
