About Luke
Luke Bemand is the bassist for nationally touring prog rock/electronic/jam trio, Lespecial. Luke’s bass amp of choice is the MESA/Boogie® Subway® D-800™ Bass Head and plays a custom MBJ Guitars bass dubbed the “blood moon bass.” Luke combines influences such as Les Claypool’s percussive slap technique, gritty drop-tuned riffs played with a pick in the vein of Tool’s Justin Chancellor, and emulates produced electronic bass music in a unique and organic way. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and touring musician of 15 years, his unique and aggressive bass style is amplified and brought to life with his bass artillery of choice from MESA/Boogie.
