About António

António Côrte-Real is a Portuguese blues/rock guitarist. In 1990 he started playing in the city where he grew up, Almada, on the outskirts of Lisbon, in garage rock bands gaining space in the local music scene.

In 1996 comes the opportunity to join the Portuguese rock band UHF. With countless Gold and Platinum records on the wall and a career that was already 18 years old, UHF is one of the top exponents of national rock.

Following are a series of tours, studio, and live albums with the UHF and Côrte-Real happens to be known as one of the best rock guitarists in the country.

In 2009 he released the album "Ninguém Manda em Ti" with Revolta, a band that gained some notice in the local punk rock community.

In 2011 he released the solo album "Côrte-Real Trio". This album has become one of the fan favorites. Recorded live on tape in the studio with UHF colleagues Ivan Cristiano (drums) and Fernando Rodrigues (bass).

In 2014 he joins União das Tribos with whom already released two albums, an EP, a live album and has in the gutter a new record for 2021.

In 2019 he starts to use MESA/Boogie amplifiers, focusing his sound on the new Fillmore™ Series.

In 2021 he will launch new works with UHF, União das Tribos and a new solo album.

He´s also currently the producer of several groups in the pop, blues, rock and punk Portuguese scene.
